Healthy Schools

We Are a Surrey Healthy School

At St Ann's Heath Junior School, we are proud to be recognised as a Surrey Healthy School – a status we have successfully maintained for the past two years. We are one of approximately 40 schools in Surrey to have achieved this award, which celebrates our continued commitment to promoting the physical, emotional, and social health and wellbeing of our pupils.

A Whole School Commitment to Wellbeing

Being a Surrey Healthy School reflects our whole-school approach to ensuring that health and wellbeing are embedded in our curriculum, ethos, and day-to-day life. We believe that happy, healthy children learn better, and we are dedicated to creating an environment where every child can thrive.

We are particularly proud of the feedback received from external professionals who have worked closely with us throughout our Healthy Schools journey:

  • The Specialist Teachers for Inclusive Practice Team praised our dedication and whole-school relational approach, commenting on how we prioritise the wellbeing of every individual pupil. They also commended our leadership team for recognising the vital role of parents and carers, and for working with them as key stakeholders in their children’s wellbeing and development.
  • Active Surrey recognised our school’s ongoing efforts to refine and enhance physical activity provision in order to meet the diverse needs of all pupils.
  • REMA (Race Equality and Minority Achievement) highlighted the positive and effective partnership working they have experienced with St Ann's Heath Junior School.

Looking Ahead

We remain committed to continuous improvement in all aspects of health and wellbeing. Our staff, pupils, and families work together to ensure that St Ann's Heath Junior School remains a place where every child feels supported, valued, and empowered to achieve their best.

Thank you to all members of our school community who help us uphold our Healthy School status and make St Ann's Heath Junior School a nurturing and inclusive place to learn.
